After a grueling 36 hr trip from Benaulim to Margoa to Mumbai to Bangkok to Hong Kong and finally to our destination airport Taipei only to find that our luggage hadn’t!!!
Whilst filling out the lost luggage forms we were told that one bag had been located but they couldn’t tell us who’s, and that they were trying to track down the other one… nice… it seemed as though someone had forgotten to transfer our bags from the Bangkok flight to the Hong Kong flight… woops!
It turned out that they had in fact been put on the next flight, which landed 20mins later, so we were actually reunited with them whilst still in the airport… phew!
After 36 hrs of straight traveling, I needed to change.
We made our way to our hostel, but after searching for an hour we decided to catch a taxi, we got in and explained to the cab driver where we wanted to go thinking that he was just tentatively listening, when her responded we realized he didn’t speak a word of English, nor could he understand it, (that explains the blank expression) and we ended up having to get out of the taxi and resume our search by foot… we did eventually find it, and it turned out to be a nice place, as you can imagine, we slept well.
